Fast Forward Running Shop

FAST FORWARD RUNNING IS A SHOP DEDICATED TO ONE PARTICULAR SPORT:  RUNNING…..

The dedicated store, is situated in

Wote Street, Basingstoke and is owned by running enthusiasts Bob and Sandra Chatterton.

Fast Forward Running stocks major brands of running shoes, apparel and accessories including Nike, Mizuno, Inov8, Brooks, Asics, Zoot, Salomon, Saucony and New Balance. Running shoes are very different from ordinary trainers, being lighter and designed specifically for the demands of the individual. Different disciplines such as road and trail running require a certain type of shoe, while track and cross country runners use spikes.Bob and his team are well qualified to advise anyone from novices to experienced club runners on the type of shoe and other equipment they need.

Bob has been running for over 30 years and gained a taste for extreme training while in the Airborne forces.  His personal enthusiasm is off-road trail running and he regularly competes at any distance up to ultra marathons; events which are held over longer distances than the conventional marathon.

Shop manager, Pete Williams is also a vastly experienced runner, competing for a local club the Overton Harriers. The other members of staff are  enthusiastic runners and they are all product trained by the manufacturers of the brands they sell.  “Fast Forward Running " is a shop for runners of all abilities, staffed by runners.

This level of experience means that customers are guaranteed expert and enthusiastic advice.  Staff can carry out ‘gait analysis’, using the shop’s treadmill linked to a slow-motion camera and computer system to determine a runners gait and foot strike. The video playback will show you what type of runner you are: you could be an overpronator, a neutral runner or a supinator. But whatever you are - there will be the ideal shoe for you.

As well as running shoes, Fast Forward Running stocks a varied selection of clothing and accessories.  From base layers which help keep the wearer warm, to cushioned running socks, hydration and day packs and GPS enabled heart rate monitors, the shop stocks a vast array of running equipment from big name brands.

So whether you’re an experienced runner or a novice, Fast Forward Running is your local centre for everything to do with running.
